When you hire a wedding photographer through a large vendor, you may be in for some unexpected headaches and a serious lack of communication. Amanda and Logan experienced this first hand before deciding to make the switch and hire me only weeks before their big day. Let me walk you through their story to help you avoid the same pitfalls when searching for a local Bay Area wedding photographer.
How They Met
Amanda and Logan’s story starts all the way back with their parents and grandparents, who all grew up together in Fremont, CA. Though they never met as children, Amanda and Logan knew of each other via their families.
They finally met during their junior year of college when Logan went to visit some of his friends at San Jose State University, where Amanda was a student. They became fast friends, but didn’t start dating until a few years later. Over the course of their time together, they have used Amanda’s flight attendant perks to travel the world, visiting a range of exciting and adventurous destinations.
After another six years, they were married and enjoyed a beautiful wedding with their close family and friends.
The Big Vendor Blunder
A few months before the big day, Amanda called a large wedding photography vendor to book someone for their wedding. She was told that a contractor would reach out to her soon and work out the details. Getting caught up in the planning, Amanda forgot all about it and moved forward with the other necessities.
Once there were only a few weeks left, Amanda realized she hadn’t heard back from a contractor. She called them again only to find they still hadn’t assigned a specific photographer to her wedding. In a bit of a panic, she found my services online and we were lucky enough to work together on making her wedding a day to remember.
The Big Day
As a wedding photographer, I get the chance to see plenty of unique ideas used for both ceremonies and receptions. Amanda and Logan decided to feature their adorable dog named Jet.
He is a one-year old Goldendoodle who loves to go to work with Amanda at her hair removal business. Thanks to a fun Instagram profile, he is also becoming instafamous in the Bay Area.
The couple looked wonderful on their wedding day. Amanda wore a stunning custom-designed dress from Lauren Elaine Bridal. Their venue at Blackhawk Country Club was an absolutely beautiful location to take pictures and capture this amazing day for them and Super Bad the Band preforming at the reception was a BLAST!
I wish them both a lifetime of love and happiness in their future together.
