I had the honor of capturing the memories at Jeff and Tricia’s wedding at Wente Vineyards.
One thing I always ask my brides is to tell me about their love story…..
Jeff and Tricia met at a birthday party. Here is the story in Tricia’s words: “Ours is a love story like no other. It began with neither of us looking for love, just out for a night with friends. Both skeptical about relationships and love. But drawn to each other and, after those first couple of dates, knowing with certainty we were meant to be together. I was tagging along with my friend to the party for a rare night out and Jeff was there to celebrate his friend’s birthday. Jeff’s friend came up to me and said, “My friend thinks you are cute but he is really shy. You should go and talk to him.” I then noticed Jeff and we ended up talking all night and he texted me and asked for a date the next date. He even insisted on picking me up at my house and still holding the door open for me. He still does that now! The sweetest thing is he must have know we were special because he went to the nightclub’s website the next day and took a screenshot of the picture we had all taken together that night. So we have a picture of our first night meeting! Jeff knew I had 2 kids from a previous relationship before our first date but it didn’t bother him at all and he jumped in heart first and the rest is history!”
My favorite part of this wedding was the incredible touching wedding vows they had written. I have to admit to tearing up behind the camera lens over these truly beautiful words.
“Jeff, I knew there was something different about you from the first time I met you. It wasn’t just that you were tall or handsome. It was the kindness in your eyes, the way you actually listened and remembered everything I said, and most importantly it was the way I saw myself in your eyes – like an even better version of myself. You made me feel loved and special and happy. I felt like I could let out the breath I didn’t even know I was holding when I was with you. You broke down every wall I tried to put up and taught me what love was supposed to feel like. The day I met you my life and the lives of my kids changed for the better. You became their father by choice and they are so lucky to have you in their lives.
I promise to love and cherish you for the rest of my life. I promise to laugh at your bad jokes, watch car shows with you, hit up all the best country concerts together, go on dates, and to not get too mad when you hit the snooze button for the third time in a row. Most importantly, I promise to always be there for you through the good times and the bad and always appreciate what a wonderful man you are. I love you so much and can’t wait to officially call you my husband! As we always say to each other – you are the best.”
Tricia & Jeff thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day.
